Behind the Balloons
Hi there! I’m Katelyn Slaughter, the creative heart behind Balloons by Kate. With the support of my husband, Lucas, I’ve turned my love for design and creativity into a way to bring people’s visions to life.
What I love most about balloon décor is that no two designs are ever the same—each installation is unique, just like the celebrations they’re made for. Every project gives me the chance to dream bigger, push my creativity further, and transform ideas into something unforgettable.
Whether it’s a whimsical baby shower, an elegant celebration, or a joyful birthday, I take pride in designing balloon installations that reflect the spirit of the occasion and look exactly as I imagine—sometimes even better. Creating these one-of-a-kind pieces brings me joy, and I love sharing that joy with every client I work with.
Every installation is uniquely designed & assembled, meaning none will look exactly the same! Please keep this in mind when submitting photos for inspiration.
Please review our Policies page prior to requesting a quote. The quote you receive will include our policies & require a client signature of acknowledgement in order to secure your event date, along with a creditable deposit.
I am located in the KC Metro area, but will travel for an additional mileage fee. Please see the Services page for pricing breakdown.
Orders should be placed at least 2 weeks in advance of your event date to allow time for planning & ordering materials. Requests made within 2 weeks may still be accommodated, but design & material options could be limited.
